Anthony Trabano is a professional photographer specialising in interior design photography, retail photography, product photography, and high-end retouching.

He is originally from Santa Cruz, California and studied Advertising at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Since 2010 he as been living in The Netherlands and currently resides in Utrecht with his wife and two daughters. 



I like to think of myself as an introvert but with extroverted tendencies. There’s nothing I love more than collaborating with talented people on a project and then spending time isolated away in my studio to focus on refining the details.

What makes my photography unique that shot has been well thought out, planned, and styled in a way that is both creative and tells a story. 90% of my time on a photoshoot is spent building the composition together with designers. Everything in the frame should have a purpose and distracting elements should be removed.

My approach to each project stems from how I started as a landscape photographer. Scouting a location, observing how the light moves through a space, and having a clear idea of what you want the final result to be — even before setting up the camera. It has always been important to emphasise the natural light in my work.

Interior spaces are living things and change with the light. They are designed with intention to set a mood, serve a function, and express beauty through art. The introvert in me could spend days shooting every single corner and set piece, each with their own story. The extrovert in me strives to find the designers who want to tell a story together.
